Director (R&D)

Dr. Thrina Islam is a dedicated public health professional, medical researcher, and media personality with expertise in epidemiology and global health. She currently serves as the Director (R&D) at the International Online Journal Hub (IOJH), where she plays a crucial role in advancing research and academic development.

Dr. Islam holds an MSc in Global Public Health from Canterbury Christ Church University, UK, an MPH in Epidemiology from North South University, Bangladesh, and an MBBS from Mymensingh Medical College. Her extensive experience in public health research includes her role as an Outbreak Investigation Officer at the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) and previous positions as a Research Assistant at BSMMU’s National Cervical and Breast Cancer Screening Centre and a Research Associate at the Centre for Injury Prevention and Research, Bangladesh.

Beyond her medical and research contributions, Dr. Islam is also a well-known media personality. She has worked as a news presenter and program anchor for several prominent television channels, including Deepto TV, Bangla TV, RTV, ATN Bangla, and Channel 9, using her platform to raise public awareness on important health issues.

With a strong background in research, healthcare, and media engagement, Dr. Thrina Islam is committed to shaping the future of public health and scientific research, making significant contributions to both academia and public health awareness in Bangladesh and beyond.
