Young Researcher Development Program (YRDP)

Uplifting the next generation of researchers in Bangladesh through mentorship, training, and real-world research experience

Bridging the Research Gap

The Young Researchers Development Program (YRDP) is a dedicated initiative by the Top Scholar Society of Bangladesh (TSSB) and sponsored by the International Online Journal Hub (IOJH). Our mission emerged from alarming findings in our nationwide study:

Lack of Mentorship

Students eager to engage in research but lacking proper guidance and mentorship

Insufficient Structure

Universities with willingness but without structured research programs

Funding Barriers

Bright ideas lost due to financial constraints and inability to afford research costs

Limited Guidance

Young minds unable to transform hypotheses into published work

Our Comprehensive Approach

Student Selection

Students from universities across Bangladesh will be chosen according to their research interests and level of commitment

Team Formation

Students grouped into teams of 10-15 members each, fostering collaborative research

Training

Combination of online sessions and in-person workshops at IOJH headquarters

Project Execution

Teams work on research addressing pressing national issues in Bangladesh

Publication

All research published in SSB journals with exceptional work submitted to high-impact international journals

Expert Mentorship

Each research team will be mentored by renowned researchers who will guide students through every step—from topic selection to final publication. Additional mentors include Dr. Aftab Uddin, Prof. Dr. Golam Hossain, Dr. Md. Iqbal Hossain, and Prof. Md Khorshed Ali Miah.

Applications will be reviewed through written statements and recommendations. The programme is completely free of cost for students, with all expenses covered by TSSB through IOJH funding. This ensures that financial barriers do not prevent talented students from participating in this transformative research opportunity.

Expected Outcomes

YRDP is envisioned as an annual programme that will create a sustainable model for academic development in Bangladesh. Its success will pave the way for integration of research training into university curriculums, increased publication of Bangladeshi research in international journals, and potential collaborations with government bodies, NGOs, and international institutions.
